Haider is an Indian crime drama film inspired by William Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet. The film is set amidst the insurgency-hit Kashmir conflicts of 1995 and civilian disappearances.
Haider, the protagonist played by Shahid Kapoor, is in search of his lost father and he finds out that his father has died. Angry to avenge his father’s death, Haider becomes mentally and emotionally scattered.
